Professional Osteopathy in Syros

UK-trained, registered and insured osteopathic care delivered with clinical integrity.

What Is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a hands-on approach focused on how the body’s structure — particularly the spine, joints and muscles — supports movement and overall function.

Rather than concentrating only on symptoms, osteopathy considers how mobility, posture and mechanical balance influence the way the body moves and adapts to daily demands such as work, travel and sport.

Treatment may include joint mobilisation, osteopathic manipulation, soft tissue techniques and movement guidance. The aim is to improve mobility, support structural balance and promote functional comfort.

In the United Kingdom, osteopathy is a regulated healthcare profession governed by the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), with structured academic and clinical training requirements.

You can learn more about osteopathy and professional standards on the official General Osteopathic Council website.

My Training & Background

I graduated in Osteopathy with First Class Honours (BOst Hons) from the University of Derby and the College of Osteopaths, London. My training included over 1000 hours of supervised clinical practice in the College clinic in London, where I worked with a wide range of musculoskeletal presentations — including athletes, desk-based professionals, teenagers, chronic cases and senior patients.

Clinical education included:

• Structured case history taking
• Orthopaedic testing
• Neurological examination
• Movement assessment
• Clinical reasoning and treatment planning

I practise structural osteopathy as well as cranial and visceral techniques, adapting each session to the individual.

After living in London for over 14 years, I relocated permanently to Syros and now provide professional mobile osteopathic care for residents and visitors across the island.
